$125 - $250May 15 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
This day will teach you the building blocks of good advocacy and how you can effectively work with government and other decision-making bodies. Participants will have the opportunity to plan an advocacy strategy around a real issue in their community or from their work.
This course can be taken in conjunction with Advocacy Skills to form a two-day workshop which will provide an unprecedented opportunity to plan an effective strategy around issues that affect your community. You will complete strategy planning, learn the best way to get your issue heard in parliament, prepare your advocacy tool kit, write a media release, negotiate for your best outcomes and put together a lobbying kit.
Cost: $250 per course, inc. GST payable (or $125.00 inc. GST if you are paying for yourself and receive a Centrelink pension, benefit or a health care card, photocopy only required; PIAC will not use this information for any purpose except determining your eligibility for the discounted training rate).
