The Public Interest Advocacy Centre invites you to join us with MC Craig Reucassel and guest speaker Virginia Trioli at the 2019 Social Justice Dinner in celebration of PIAC’s work with our partners and supporters.

The Social Justice Dinner is also PIAC’s main fundraising event to support our work to create systemic change by tackling barriers to justice for people who are vulnerable and facing disadvantage. Guests will be offered the opportunity to win some fabulous silent auction prizes or make a tax-deductible donation.

Guest speaker: Virginia Trioli

Virginia TrioliTwo-time Walkley Award winner, Virginia Trioli is one of Australia’s best-known journalists, with a formidable reputation as a television anchor, radio presenter, writer and commentator. She combines a rigorous interviewing style with a wicked sense of humour and currently anchors ABC News Breakfast on ABC 1 and ABC News 24. Virginia is an honours graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University, and in 1996 published ’Generation F’, her celebrated response to Helen Garner’s ‘First Stone’.

Master of ceremonies: Craig Reucassel

Craig RuecasselCraig is an Australian writer and comedian who is best known for his work with The Chaser and for going through your bins on War on Waste. He has appeared in a swathe of TV programs including The Election Chaser, CNNNN, The Chaser’s War on Everything, Yes We Canberra and the satirical consumer affairs show The Checkout. Craig has a Bachelor of Economics (Social Science) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney gathering dust somewhere.
