Lynette presents PIAC’s Media Skills training along with Don Palmer.
Lynette Simons has been a media skills trainer for a wide range of organisations in the public and private sector for decades. Before that, she was a print journalist for the Sydney Morning Herald; Chief of Staff at ABC Radio National and Producer of its current affairs program Newsvoice.
From 1992-2002, Lynette was Training Manager at SBS Radio in Sydney where she developed and supervised the provision of courses in ethics and standards, broadcasting, voice presentation skills and journalism for broadcasters from 68 different language groups.
In addition to media training, Lynette lectures in Mediation and Negotiation to students at the Department of Indigenous Studies at Macquarie University and in Conflict Management at the Australian College of Applied Psychology. She has an MBA in Human Resource Management, an ESL teaching diploma and the Certificate IV in Assessment and Training.
