Lou has a 20 year history of working in community legal centres, legal aid commissions and Aboriginal legal services in Victoria, New South Wales and the Northern Territory.

During the past ten years he has managed the Access to Justice and Legal Needs Research Program at the Law and Justice Foundation of NSW and was a senior policy officer within the Victorian Department of Justice, working on a range of projects including the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities.

For the past two years Lou has worked at PIAC as a policy officer with the Energy + Water Consumers’ Advocacy Program, and more recently, the Homeless Persons Legal Service.
