Smart Meter Customer Protection and Safety Review - Draft Policy Paper One

This paper represents the joint submission of a number of community and consumer organisations to the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Ministerial Council on Energy (MCE) Smart Meter Customer Protection and Safety Review - Draft Policy Paper One. The community organisations, in this paper, argue that a number of amendments will be required to the proposed National Energy Customer Framework to ensure that consumers experience the benefits of smart meters and that existing consumer protections are not eroded by the new technology.
