The NSW Attorney General sought community feedback on the proposed consolidation of Commonwealth anti-discrimination laws and the impact on NSW.  PIAC’s submission focused on  the complaints and compliance framework for discrimination including amendments to onus of proof, the creation of a no-cost jurisdiction, easing the standing requirements for organisations to make complaints. The submission also recommended extending protection from discrimination to additional attributes including religion, housing status and being a victim of domestic violence.
