Abstract

PIAC welcomes the introduction of the Low Income Energy Efficiency Program, an initiative developed to assist low-income households reduce energy consumption as part of the Australian Government’s climate change plan—Securing a Clean Energy Future. PIAC submitted a letter to the public consultation for this program to ensure that low-income and vulnerable households are safeguarded against future rises in energy prices following the roll out of the Australian Government’s price on carbon.
