Abstract
The development of the Water Industry Competition Act Draft Codes of Conduct for Transfer and Marketing is an essential step to ensuring that a competitive water market is fair and efficient for both retailers and consumers. Effective competition in any market relies on consumers being confident that they will be treated fairly by retailers. PIACs submission to the development of these draft codes addresses issues of equity, access and information that all consumers must be provided with to enable them to make informed choices about their retail supply contracts.
