Abstract
In March 2010, PIAC made a supplementary submission to the Commonwealth Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Public Administration about the Freedom of Information Amendment (Reform) Bill 2009 (FOIR Bill).In this supplementary submission PIAC dealt with two issues: (i) the proposed reversal of the onus of proof during merits review by the Administrative Appeal Tribunal; and (ii) the proposed reduction of processing charges for not-for-profit community groups and journalists.
