Abstract

Those that experience homelessness are rarely involved in decision making processes that affect them. The formation of Street Care (the first advisory group made up entirely of homeless people which was set up by PIAC), has enabled the input of those experiencing homelessness for the first time. However, while careful consideration was given to make sure the membership of Street Care was as representative as possible, the group remains Metropolitan focused. In order to ensure regional homeless people have their voices heard, PIAC is attempting to replicate the model of Street Care to regional locations.
