Abstract
In this submission on the Australian Labor Party (ALP) Consultation Draft National Platform 2009, PIAC provides comment on issues of public interest in which it has experience and expertise. PIAC also emphasises the need to ensure that consumer voices are properly represented in policy development through open, transparent and genuinely representative processes. Through these comments, PIAC seeks to update, clarify and in some cases extend the application of these principles in the Platform.
