PIAC believes that saving energy through the delivery of energy efficiency programs for low-income households is an effective way to meet both social and environmental outcomes.

Recognising the relationship between climate change mitigation and the price of energy, PIAC has prepared submissions and met with state and federal parliamentarians, departmental staff and energy retailers to advocate for government and industry sponsored energy and water efficiency initiatives.

Both the Federal and NSW Governments have committed to assist disadvantaged consumers to reduce their energy consumption and bills.
