The chairman of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal, Rod Sims, will deliver the keynote address at the Energy + Water Consumers’ Advocacy Program (EWCAP) biennial conference on 27 June 2011 in the Sydney CBD.

Registrations are now open for the conference, entitled Competition & Consumers.  

Competition & Consumers will focus on understanding how varying levels of competition in energy markets contribute to a range of outcomes for consumers.

The Public Interest Advocacy Centre and EWCAP will launch a new research report at the conference. The report focuses on consumers’ experiences of electricity market competition in five NSW rural and regional areas.
