Practical Human Rights
This one-day workshop provides an overview of the framework for protecting human rights in Australia. It will equip you with essential knowledge and skills for accessing this framework in the assistance of those whose rights have been violated.
The course covers:
- The Australian legal system and human rights protections
- The international framework for human rights
- Case studies of breaches of rights in Australia
- Taking a rights-based approach to your work
Please note: this training can be customised with a focus on specific issues (eg, disability, homelessness, mental health, Indigenous women’s rights etc) and delivered in-house to your group or organisation.
